Sometimes, if you can’t write it or say it… music it.
If you are a music teacher, you understand the importance of having a creative outlet to stay fresh in the classroom. Though I perform some and write a blog, my oldest passion is composition. Enjoy as I share my various projects as they happen!

4.27.20 – Frenzy Coordinator by Zoobox
In 2019, I received a grant to build a recording studio in my high school. Part of my mission is to provide students with the tools they need to become successful business-minded musicians. To better teach the content, I am teaching myself how to produce music. Here’s my first start-to-finish solo production!
“Frenzy Coordinator” was my response to the rapidly spreading Covid-19 and all of the uncertainty that it bred. The whole thing grew out of the recurring guitar chord progression starting at 1:21. I just love the moving parallel fifths against the static E tonic. The photos are from Darkday’s Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/drainrat/. Some amazing stuff there.
Oh… and “ZooBox” is just a combination of my last name and the fact that I love to dabble in beatboxing. 🙂
